This is a Rolex GMT Master 1675 Long E from 1972. The Rolex GMT has been appreciated for over 50 years by pilots, collectors and the general public alike. The model has advanced with many appealing features along the way. The “Mark I” matte black dial is captivating, and a distinguishing feature unbeknown to many Rolex collectors. A subtle nuance that serious collectors will notice, differentiating itself from later dial variants, is the long ‘E’ signature found within the “ROLEX” signature. 

 

This watch was purchased by the original owner on the 23rd of November 1972 in accordance with its papers. This is the correct year for the MK1 Long E Dial. The bezel insert displays a nice red and blue colouring, further enhancing this watch's appeal. Combining the charm and pleasure of a true vintage watch along with great daily wearability, this stunning example is accompanied by an excellent case, which carries full proportions and really completes the overall look of this vintage GMT. This watch has the original faded pepsi insert which looks stunning and this watch comes on an original folded jubilee bracelet.
